Texas Biker Rallies are a great little get away. Motorcycle events in Texas are everywhere throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. Being able to ride 10 to 11 months out of the year make it perfect for Rallies. The weather is usually mild to down right hot. Being out on the blacktop gets even hotter in the summer. Sometimes you even wish for cloud cover to bring down the temp. Yep, that is me sound asleep during an event.
Rallies always offer a cold beverage and good food. Vendors come from all over offering the types of food people expect at events. Hot dogs, hamburgers and even the funnel cake. Early morning breakfast to late night snacks, you can find something to eat.
They offer entertainment from biker games to some of the hottest biker bands. Music varies from jazz, country, bluegrass and rock&roll. Tribute bands are very prominent in the biker scene. After all, most bikers range in age from 21 to 80. Some of our favorite bands are gone or going. So listening to our music by a tribute band is really awesome.
Some bands can be pretty bad and some if you close your eyes you would not know it was not the real deal. All in All they are there to have a good time along with everyone else.
Tent Camping – Bring your own or rent
Tent camping sometimes is free with your entry fee. There are facilities at the campground. Now there is another alternative, Yep you can rent your tent. The Tent is tall enough to stand in and it comes with a queen size mattress. Some come with chairs and a cooler. Some rallies have a company to rent you everything you need for camping out.
RV – Electric and Water or Self Contained
As far as RV camping it is a good idea if you want a site with water and electric you reserve it as soon as possible. Now just a tidbit of info here, if you rent a spot for your RV some of the rallies give you first option to rent it again for the following year.
The self-contained spots have places your can get potable water, plus they have a service for an extra fee to remove gray water. Some have RV disposal sites, some don’t. This is something that you will need to check on when renting your space. Best bet is come early to pull/back in to your space.
Please don’t forget to decorate. Many Bikers decorate their area. This is for fun, to let guest know where you are or just because. The decorations are always fun to look at.
If camping is out of the question, reserve your hotel room early they tend to book fast. The great thing about a hotel room is a bed and shower in one room. No waiting for a shower at the facilities and always a wake up call if needed.
